Arthrin is a means for regulating metabolic processes in cartilage tissue with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Release form and composition
The drug is available in the form of a 5% ointment for external use (30 g or 50 g in an aluminum tube, in a cardboard box 1 tube; 30 g or 50 g in a can, in a cardboard box 1 can).
The active substance of Arthrin is chondroitin sodium sulfate, in 1 g of ointment - 0.05 g.
Indications for use
The use of Arthrin is indicated for degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the joints and spine:
- intervertebral osteochondrosis;
- primary arthrosis;
- periodontal disease;
- osteoarthritis;
- osteoporosis.
In addition, the drug is prescribed for more rapid formation of callus in bone fractures.
Contraindications
- thrombophlebitis;
- tendency to bleeding;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
The drug should be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding only as directed by a doctor.
Method of administration and dosage
The ointment is applied externally by applying a sufficient amount to the skin of the affected area of the body and rubbing in for 2-3 minutes until completely absorbed.
The recommended dosage regimen: 2-3 times a day, the duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks. A repetition of the course is shown if necessary.
Side effects
Allergic reactions: pruritus, urticaria, dermatitis, erythema; rarely - nausea, vomiting.

Do not allow the ointment to come into contact with areas with impaired skin integrity and mucous membranes of the body.
If signs of allergic reactions develop, the drug should be discontinued.
