Florin forte is a probiotic, a complex preparation with immunomodulatory, antidiarrheal action, which helps to normalize the intestinal microflora and improve digestion.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms of release:
- powder for oral administration: from dark gray to light gray interspersed with black color, has a weak fermented milk smell (in multilayer metal-polymer bags, 10, 20 or 30 sachets in a cardboard box);
- capsules: hard gelatinous; body color - white, caps - yellow; the capsules contain a light gray or dark gray powder interspersed with black color, which has a weak fermented milk smell (in polymer cans of 10, 15, 20 or 30 pcs., 1 can in a cardboard box).
Each pack also contains instructions for the use of Florin Forte.
Active ingredients in 1 sachet of powder and 1 capsule:
- bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum), which were sorbed on activated carbon - at least 50 million colony-forming units (5x10 7 CFU);
- lactobacilli (Lactobacillus plantarum 8P-A3) - not less than 50 million colony-forming units (5x10 7 CFU).
Auxiliary component in 1 sachet of powder: lactose monohydrate - up to 850 mg.

- components of the sucrose-gelatinous drying medium: lactose monohydrate - up to 200 mg; gelatin - 1.07-1.09 mg; sucrose - 8.08-8.24 mg; magnesium stearate - 1-10 mg; activated carbon - 2.73-2.79 mg;

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Florin forte is a biological drug, probiotic. Its action is aimed at regulating the balance of the intestinal microflora and is determined by the properties of the active components.
The bifidobacteria and lactobacilli included in Florin forte have an immunomodulatory effect and have a high antagonistic activity against pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, which manifests itself as suppression of their vital activity, preventing their adhesion to the intestinal mucosa, creating favorable conditions for the development of beneficial microflora.
Other properties of Florina Forte active ingredients:
- maintaining and regulating the physiological balance of the intestinal microflora, ensuring its physiological functions;
- promoting the normalization of the microbiocenosis of the gastrointestinal tract and increasing the nonspecific resistance of the body;
- promoting the activation of parietal digestion;
- participation in the enzymatic breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, metabolic processes of cholesterol and bile acids, which provides a hypocholesterolemic effect;
- promoting the absorption of calcium, iron, vitamin D, the synthesis of amino acids and vitamins (especially group B).
Bifidobacteria, sorbed as microcolonies, have advantages for reproduction on the intestinal mucosa. In combination with bifidobacteria, they have an enhanced suppressive effect on hemolytic E. coli and rotaviruses.
Lactose monohydrate - an auxiliary component of Florin forte, has prebiotic properties and helps to increase the number of bacteria of normal intestinal microflora.
Indications for use
- diseases occurring with violations of the normal intestinal microflora and a deficiency of lactobacilli, bifidobacteria or normal Escherichia coli;
- intestinal infections in acute course, having an unknown etiology or the development of which is due to opportunistic microflora and rotaviruses;
- acute respiratory diseases of microbial / viral origin;
- the period of convalescence (for the complete restoration of intestinal normal flora);
- dysbacteriosis of various origins;
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract of a chronic course, including those with identified associations of opportunistic microorganisms in high titers and intestinal hemolytic bacilli.
Contraindications
- malabsorption of glucose-galactose, congenital lactase deficiency;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Florin forte, instructions for use: method and dosage
The drug is taken orally, preferably at the same time as food, however, if necessary, we can take it regardless of the meal.
Florin Forte capsules can be taken whole or mixed with liquid food, preferably fermented milk products, for newborns and infants - with formula for artificial feeding or breast milk. The powder from the capsule can be mixed in a spoon or glass with boiled water at room temperature with a volume of 5–30 ml, the resulting turbid suspension with black sorbent particles is taken without waiting for their complete dissolution. Florin forte is taken in the same way in powder dosage form for oral administration.
Recommended dosage regimen:
- children under 6 months: 2 times a day, 1 sachet / capsule;
- children from 6 months to 3 years: 3 times a day, 1 sachet / capsule;
- children from 3 years old: 3-4 times a day, 1 sachet / capsule;
- adults: 3 times a day, 2 sachets / capsules.
Duration of the treatment course:
- diseases occurring with disorders of the normal intestinal microflora, chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the period of convalescence after illnesses, dysbacteriosis: 10-15 days;
- intestinal infections in acute course: 5-7 days;
- respiratory diseases in acute course: 5-10 days.
Side effects
When Florin Forte was used in compliance with the prescribed dosage regimen, the development of adverse reactions was not recorded.

Drug interactions
When combined with certain drugs / substances, the following effects may occur:
- vitamins, especially group B: strengthening the action of Florin forte;
- drugs with an antibacterial effect: a decrease in the therapeutic effect of Florin forte (it is recommended to observe a break between taking these drugs within 3-4 hours).
