SideAL Forte is a specialized product of therapeutic and prophylactic nutrition, based on a combination of liposomal iron and vitamin C, which helps to replenish iron deficiency.
Release form and composition
SiderAL Forte dosage form - 595 mg capsules (in a package of 20).
1 capsule contains:
- active substances: liposomal iron (iron III pyrophosphate) - 30 mg; vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) - 70 mg;
- auxiliary components: pregelatinized rice starch, fatty acid esters, sunflower lecithin (in combination with milk protein, glucose syrup and tricalcium phosphate), edible gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide.
Pharmacological properties
The action of SideAL Forte is determined by the properties of the active substances included in its composition:
- liposomal iron: microspheres (Ø 20–30 nm), enclosed in liposomes, the phospholipid membrane of which is similar in composition to cell membranes. The internal space of liposomes contains iron pyrophosphate, which is more resistant to damaging external influences, including the destructive effects of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). At the same time, iron itself also much less damages the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, and its negative effect on the body as a whole decreases. Liposomes have a unique ability to transport up to 100% of the iron contained in them to the hematopoietic organs (bone marrow) or to the place of its temporary deposition - the liver;
- Vitamin C: helps to improve the absorption of iron and protect cells and tissues from the effects of free radicals, plays an important role in strengthening immunity and collagen synthesis.
In combination, these components provide a therapeutic effect in various iron deficiency conditions and prevent anemia.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, SideAL Forte is prescribed for the treatment of the following iron deficiency conditions:
- chronic post-hemorrhagic anemia;
- sideropenia and iron deficiency anemia of various etiologies;
- latent iron deficiency in the body, which is associated with excessive chronic iron losses - bleeding (including uterine bleeding), constant blood donation;
- vegetarianism, unbalanced / inadequate nutrition;
- chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency;
- chronic renal failure, peritoneal dialysis;
- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
- conditions after gastric resection;
- decreased body resistance;
- oncological diseases, chemotherapy;
- increased need for iron (period of active growth, pregnancy, lactation);
- elderly age.

When combined therapy with tetracycline, the recommended interval between taking them is 3 hours or more.
