The function of the second layer of the Cosmopore is to provide a drainage effect. It is achieved by using a special pad consisting of a natural cotton (viscose) pad, which is covered with a microscopic polyethylene mesh. It is the mesh that touches the wound, but does not stick to it. In addition, the mesh has both protective and absorbent properties. One gram of sorption pad has the ability to hold about nine grams of liquid.
The third layer of Cosmopore is a thin paper lining, treated with silicone. It is a kind of distributor of the separated wound fluid - blood, ichor, etc.
A special coating made of cellulose is the fourth layer of Cosmopore. Such a coating has the property of repelling moisture and protecting both the dressing and the wound from any foreign objects and media.
The cosmopore is securely fixed to the skin using a synthetic rubber glue that does not contain rosin. The use of a non-woven base makes it possible to use it on moving parts of the body and limbs.
In the place of fixation of the dressings from Cosmopor, there are practically no negative skin reactions, which is explained by the use of hypoallergenic polyacrylate glue. When using Cosmopor, in accordance with the instructions and medical recommendations, no side effects were noted. This makes it indispensable in the treatment of related diseases in pregnant women, newborns, lactating and allergy sufferers.

Cosmopore dressings are widely used in trauma and surgical practice. Postoperative dressings from Cosmopore are especially effective in the presence of bleeding or discharge.
Also, positive results were noted when using Kosmopor in the treatment of bedsores in bedridden patients and inflamed trophic ulcers.
The use of Cosmopor is also justified in everyday life for various wounds and injuries. When used independently, you should first decide on the appropriate size of the wound, the size of the bandage. Cosmopor sizes are available on the counters of pharmacies and pharmaceutical markets:
