Release form and composition
Lancid is produced in the form of capsules: hard gelatine, with the inscription "MICRO / MICRO"; 15 mg each - bluish-green (turquoise) color, size No. 3; 30 mg each - pink, size No. 1; contents of capsules - pellets (granules) of almost white or white color (10 pcs. in blisters, 3 blisters in a cardboard box).
1 capsule contains:
- Active ingredient: lansoprazole - 15 or 30 mg;
- Auxiliary components (15/30 mg of active ingredient): mannitol - 129.7 / 189 mg, sucrose - 16.6 / 52 mg, lactose monohydrate - 13/26 mg, hypromellose phthalate - 18.2 / 34.3 mg, povidone - 3.5 / 14.9 mg, cetyl alcohol - 2 / 3.8 mg;

Indications for use
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome;
- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (with exacerbation);
- Reflux esophagitis;
- Erosive and ulcerative esophagitis;
- Non-ulcer dyspepsia;
- Stress ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- Malignant neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract;
- I trimester of pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Relative (Lancid should be taken with caution):
- Liver failure;
- II-III trimesters of pregnancy;
- Age under 18;
- Elderly age.
Method of administration and dosage
Lancid is taken orally. The capsules must be swallowed whole without chewing.
The following dosing regimen is recommended:
- Duodenal ulcer and stress ulcers: in a daily dose of 30 mg (at one time, preferably before meals, in the morning), course duration - 2-4 weeks;
- Peptic ulcer and erosive-ulcerative esophagitis: in a daily dose of 30 mg (possibly increasing to 60 mg), course duration - 4-8 weeks;
- Reflux esophagitis: in a daily dose of 30 mg, course duration - 4 weeks;
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: the doctor selects the dose individually, the optimal one should provide basal acid production of less than 10 mmol per hour;
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori: in a single dose of 30 mg, frequency of administration - 2 times a day, course duration - at least 7 days; therapy is carried out simultaneously with antibiotics (amoxicillin and clarithromycin);
- Non-ulcer dyspepsia: in a daily dose of 15-30 mg, the duration of the course is 2-4 weeks.
In elderly patients and patients with hepatic insufficiency, therapy should be started with halved doses, increasing them gradually to the recommended ones, maximum 30 mg per day.
Side effects
- Respiratory system: rarely - flu-like syndrome, upper respiratory tract infections, pharyngitis, cough, rhinitis;
- Nervous system: headache; rarely - dizziness, malaise, depression, drowsiness, anxiety;
- Gastrointestinal tract: less common - nausea, increased or decreased appetite, abdominal pain; rarely - constipation or diarrhea; in some cases - nonspecific ulcerative colitis, gastrointestinal candidiasis, hyperbilirubinemia, increased activity of hepatic transaminases (alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase), gamma-glutamyl transferase, alkaline phosphatase and lactate dehydrogenase;
- Allergic reactions: skin rash; in some cases - exudative erythema multiforme, photosensitization;
- Hematopoietic system: rarely - thrombocytopenia (accompanied with hemorrhagic manifestations); in some cases - anemia;
- Others: rarely - alopecia, myalgia.
special instructions
To exclude malignant neoplasms, endoscopic control should be carried out before and after therapy, since Lancid can hide symptoms and delay the correct diagnosis.
Drug interactions
With the combined use of Lancid with some drugs, the following effects may develop:
- Medicines metabolized in the liver by microsomal oxidation (indirect anticoagulants, diazepam, phenytoin): slowing down of elimination;
- Theophylline: decrease in its clearance;
- Medicines related to weak acids: slowing down the pH-dependent absorption;
- Preparations belonging to the groups of bases: acceleration of absorption;
- Ketoconazole, ampicillin, iron salts, digoxin: preventing their absorption;
- Sucralfate: decrease in the bioavailability of lansoprazole (you should observe a break of 30-40 minutes between doses of drugs);
- Antacids: slowing down and reducing the absorption of lansoprazole (a break of 1-2 hours should be observed between doses of drugs).
