The active ingredient of Validol is a solution of menthol in menthil isovalerate. The drug has a calming and reflex vasodilating effect, which is caused by irritation of the nerve endings. Also, the drug, acting on the receptors of the mucous membrane, provides the production of a number of substances that take part in the regulation of vascular permeability.
When Validol tablets dissolve under the tongue, the effect occurs after 5 minutes.

Side effects

Contraindications to the use of Validol
The drug is not prescribed for individual intolerance of its components, with severe hypotension, acute myocardial infarction.
