Release form and composition

The dosage form of the drug is 0.2% ointment (25 g each in a dark glass can, 1 can in a cardboard box).

The composition of the ointment (in 100 g):

  • active substance: nitrofural - 0.2 g;
  • auxiliary component: petroleum jelly.

Pharmacological properties

Nitrofural is a nitrofuran derivative that has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens).

There is no clinically significant resistance to the drug.

Indications for use
