Phosphogliv is a combined drug with membrane stabilizing, hepatoprotective and antiviral effects.

Release form and composition

Phosphogliv is available in the following dosage forms:

  • Capsules: solid gelatinous No. 0; capsule body - orange, lid - black; the contents of the capsule are granular powder from light yellow to white with a slightly yellowish tinge, has a slight specific smell (30, 50, 100, 200 or 300 capsules in plastic containers with lids made of propylene or high-pressure polyethylene, 1 container in a cardboard pack; 10 capsules in blisters made of aluminum foil and polyvinyl chloride film, 2, 3 or 5 packs in a cardboard box);
  • Lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for intravenous administration: a lyophilized mass from light yellow to white (2.5 g each in glass vials, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers, 5 vials in a cardboard box, complete with a solvent - water for injection (5 ampoules each 10 ml) or 5 or 10 bottles in a cardboard box).

1 capsule contains active substances:

  • Phospholipids (Lipoid C 80) (main component - phosphatidylcholine 73-79% (in terms of 100% substance)) - 65 mg;
  • Sodium glycyrrhizinate (trisodium salt of glycyrrhizic acid) - 35 mg.

Auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose - 141.2 mg, calcium carbonate - 204.7 mg, calcium stearate - 0.9 mg, talc - 7.7 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide (Aerosil) - 5.5 mg, hard gelatin capsules - 96 mg [body: titanium dioxide (E171) - 1%, sunset yellow dye (E110) - 1%, gelatin - up to 100%; cap: titanium dioxide (E171) - 0.2%, dye black iron oxide (E172) - 3.5%, gelatin - up to 100%].

The composition of 1 bottle with a lyophilisate for the preparation of an injection solution includes active substances:

  • Phospholipids (Lipoid C 100) - 500 mg;
  • Sodium glycyrrhizinate (trisodium salt of glycyrrhizic acid) - 200 mg.

Auxiliary component: maltose - 1800 mg.

Indications for use

  • Alcoholic, medicinal, toxic liver damage;
  • Fatty liver degeneration (hepatosis);
  • Liver cirrhosis (along with other drugs);
  • Acute and chronic viral hepatitis (along with other drugs);
  • Psoriasis (along with other drugs);
  • Intoxication (injection solution);
  • Eczema, neurodermatitis (injection solution).

Contraindications

  • Antiphospholipid syndrome (capsules);
  • Pregnancy and lactation (due to insufficient data on the safety and efficacy of the drug for this category of patients);
  • Age up to 12 years (due to insufficient data on the safety and effectiveness of the drug for this age category of patients);
  • Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Patients with portal and arterial hypertension should be prescribed Phosphogliv capsules with caution.

Method of administration and dosage

Phosphogliv capsules are taken orally with a small amount of liquid, preferably with meals. The capsules should not be chewed.

The drug is recommended to be taken 3 times a day, 2 capsules.

The average duration of the course is 3 months, if necessary, it can be increased to 6 months.

Phosphogliv injection solution is administered intravenously, after dissolving the powder in 10 ml water for injection. The introduction is carried out slowly.

Recommended dosage regimen: daily 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening), 10 ml for 10 days. At the end of the course, they switch to taking Phosphogliv inside. The total duration of the course is determined by the doctor.

Side effects

Phosphogliv capsules, as a rule, are well tolerated by patients, side effects develop in very rare cases, according to post-registration observation data - <1/10 000. During therapy, the following disorders may occur:

  • Cardiovascular system: peripheral edema, transient (transient) increase in blood pressure;
  • Digestive system: abdominal discomfort, dyspepsia in the form of nausea, belching, bloating;
  • Allergic reactions: difficulty in nasal breathing, skin rash, cough, conjunctivitis.

If these side effects develop, therapy should be interrupted and a doctor should be consulted.

Injection solution

  • Allergic reactions: skin rash (with hypersensitivity), which goes away on its own after Phosphogliv is discontinued;
  • Others (with the introduction of daily doses exceeding the recommended): edema, fluid and sodium retention, hypokalemia, increased blood pressure. When these disorders appear, depending on their severity, it is necessary to reduce the daily dose and / or use spironolactone at 50-100 mg per day.

Drug interactions

Phosphogliv in the form of a lyophilisate cannot be mixed with other solutions. Only water for injection can be used for dissolution. It is prohibited to use glucose solution or saline sodium chloride solution to dilute the drug.
