According to the instructions, Posterisan is available in the form of an ointment for external use and in the form of rectal suppositories. The active ingredients are cell elements and metabolic products of Escherichia coli (E. coli), hydrocortisone.

1 g of Posterisan ointment contains 500 million microbial cells of E. coli inactivated by phenol and 2.5 mg of hydrocortisone. It also contains auxiliary components (lanolin, phenol, petroleum jelly). Ointment Posterisan is outwardly homogeneous, yellowish-brownish, with a phenol odor. The ointment is produced in aluminum tubes of 25 g, together with an applicator.

1 rectal suppository contains 100 million E. coli microbial cells inactivated with phenol and 5 mg of hydrocortisone. The auxiliary components are: acetylcysteine, disodium edetate, tocopherol, solid fat, phenol, macrogol, glycerol hydroxystearate.
