Troxevasin (Troxevasin) is an angioprotective drug with a decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect, used in the treatment of venous insufficiency, varicose veins, etc.
Pharmacological action of Troxevasin
The active component of Troxevasin is troxerutin, which exhibits P-vitamin activity and is a semi-synthetic derivative of rutin with a predominant trihydroxyethylrutoside. The drug reduces capillary fragility and has an angioprotective, venotonic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.
Release form Troxevasin
The medicine Troxevasin is produced in the form of a gel for external use and in capsules. One hard, cylindrical, yellow gelatin capsule of Troxevasin according to the instructions contains 300 mg of troxerutin, 47 mg of lactose monohydrate and 3 mg of magnesium stearate. The shell contains 0.9% quinoline yellow dye E104, 3% titanium dioxide E171, 100% gelatin and 0.039% sunset yellow dye E110.
According to the instructions, the 2% Troxevasin gel contains 20 mg of troxerutin, 6 mg of carbonar, 0.5 mg of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium, 1 mg of benzalkonium chloride, 7 mg of triethanolamine and 965.5 mg of purified water.

Method of using Troxevasin
Based on the instructions, Troxevasin capsules are administered orally during meals. The dosage of the drug is 2 capsules once a day, with maintenance therapy, the dose is 1 capsule per day for a month.
Troxevasin in the form of a gel is applied with light massaging movements to the affected areas of the skin, twice a day, morning and evening, until it is completely penetrated into the skin. The medication is used regularly over a long period of time, it is applied exclusively to an intact surface.
Contraindications
According to the instructions, Troxevasin is contraindicated for use in cases of chronic gastritis, hypersensitivity to the drug and its components, gastric ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer.
