Gangleron is a synthetic drug used in the treatment of functional bowel disorders.

Pharmacological action of Gangleron

The drug Gangleron is able to inhibit the transmission of nervous excitement from preganglionic to postganglionic fibers, due to the ability to block n-cholinergic receptors of autonomic ganglia, and also causes relaxation of smooth muscles, has a depressing effect on the chromaffin tissue of the adrenal glands and carotid glomeruli, dilates blood vessels, has antiulcer disease, antispasmodic and coronary dilating action.

Release form

According to the instructions, Gangleron is produced in the form of 2 ml of 1.5% ampoules of 10 pcs. in packages and 0.04 g capsules, 50 pcs. in packages. One capsule of Gangleron contains 40 mg of the active substance of the same name and milk sugar. One ml of Gangleron solution contains 30 mg of the active substance of the same name and water for injection.

Gangleron's analogs

Gangleron's analogs for the active substance are not released. By the mechanism of action and belonging to the same pharmacological group, drugs are referred to as analogues of Gangleron:

Indications for the use of Gangleron

According to the instructions, Gangleron is prescribed for the treatment of biliary dyskinesia, acute cholecystitis, acute hepatitis, sympathoganglionitis, chronic hepatitis, gangliosolaritis, chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis and postcholecystectomy syndrome, as well as for the prevention of angina attacks.

Method of using Gangleron

In accordance with the instructions, Gangleron is administered intramuscularly 1 ml three times or four times on the first day of treatment, after which the dose is increased to 2-3 ml three times or four times a day. After 10 days of treatment, the injection solution is replaced with capsules, which are taken orally before meals with water. In the treatment of fibrocystic mastopathy, one capsule is prescribed during a meal for 2-3 weeks.

Contraindications

In accordance with the instructions, Gangleron is contraindicated for use with individual intolerance to the components of the drug, as well as with arterial hypotension, liver failure, chronic renal failure and degenerative changes in the central nervous system.

Side effects of Gangleron
