Tranzipeg is a laxative.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - powder for preparation of solution for oral administration: almost white or white, yellow (in powder with a lemon scent) or green (in powder with an apple scent) particles are allowed; ready-made solution - colorless, transparent or slightly opalescent liquid (6.9 g or 3.45 g in a sachet, in a cardboard box 2, 6, 10, 12, 20 or 30 sachets).

1 sachet contains:

  • active substance: macrogol 3350 - 5.9 g or 2.95 g;
  • auxiliary components: sodium bicarbonate, sodium sulfate anhydrous, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, aspartame, lemon or apple flavoring additive.

Indications for use

The use of Tranzipeg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of constipation.

Contraindications

  • severe intestinal pathologies: perforation of the intestinal wall, obstruction, significant distension of the colon, severe pathologies of inflammatory etiology;
  • abdominal pain of unknown origin;
  • erosive and ulcerative lesions of the colon mucosa (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis);
  • chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation;
  • phenylketonuria (due to the aspartame content in the composition);
  • dehydration;
  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Method of administration and dosage

The solution prepared from the powder is taken orally, once a day, preferably in the morning.

Recommended dosage:

  • adults: 1–2 sachets, 5.9 g per day, mixed with 100 ml of water. The daily dose should not exceed 2 sachets of 5.9 g;
  • children aged 1–12 years: 1–2 sachets, 2.95 g per day, mixed with 50 ml of water. The daily dose should not exceed: for children aged 1-6 years - 2 sachets, 6-12 years old - 3 sachets of 2.95 g each.

Side effects

  • from the digestive system: rarely - nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence;
  • allergic reactions: rarely - itching, rash, swelling of the subcutaneous tissue and / or skin.

The powder does not undergo enzymatic processing, does not contain calories.

The drug is indicated for use in patients with diabetes mellitus.

The action of Tranzipeg, when used simultaneously with other drugs, can slow down their absorption, so the laxative should be taken only 2 hours after other drugs.
